Close to nature
For some years now, the environment has been one of the most sensitive issues of our daily lives. Today's hotel must anticipate tomorrow's, growing and evolving with respect for nature and the environment. Being ecological is neither a vocation nor a way of life; it's a commitment on everyone's part to give back to the earth in an ethical way, by implementing eco-responsible measures. Beyond the values we wish to convey, such as generosity, respect and benevolence, we advocate values such as authenticity, the raw nature of the elements and know-how. It was thanks to this reflection and a stroke of fate that we met Benoît Vauthier and Manu Lerendu, two sculptors, cabinet-makers and creators of unique and fascinating objects. Based in the Vosges department of France, these artists and designers have worked with us to create pieces with the same ethical values. Unique, sustainable creations that respect the environment. We present our tables made from solid walnut wood. Unique, hand-carved craftsmanship. The Chef has imagined a universe where the interior of the gastronomic room is transformed into a sensory environment, a landscape of small mountain ranges. An invitation to travel, to get closer to nature. Chef Yoann Conte takes you back to the mountains of his childhood. A climb to the highest peaks of the Alps and Mont Blanc. As in the good old days, here we take our time and let ourselves be transported.
Our environmental approach
Table design is also linked to room service and the comfort of our staff. Tables without tablecloths save ironing time and set-up time. In terms of ecology, energy consumption linked to water and electricity is no longer necessary, saving over 30,000 liters of water and more than 200 Kwats per year. The wood used to manufacture the tables comes exclusively from local timber species, specifically from the Isère region near Grenoble. All our sawmills are E.P.V. (Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant) certified, which means they comply with P.E. and F.S.C. standards. The oil finish on our tables also meets Ecolabel FR/044/011 standards, and is certified C.OV-free.
