Desert Stars, Gala Dinner
The Chefs Yoann Conte, Édouard Loubet, Adrien Turpin-Bron and
Quentin Thévenard are cooking together for the Association Les Puits du Désert.
On the evening of 23rd September 2022, 180 guests gathered at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Annecy for an event organised by the Rotary Club.
On the menu, a dinner to tantalize the taste buds of the guests, without forgetting the objective of the evening: to be all together for a good cause.
Project presentation :
Association les Puits du Désert helps people in Africa (Niger) in the fields of rural development through access to water, health, education and handicrafts. The association has been taking up this challenge for 20 years.
Its main tasks are :
- Access to water through the construction of hydraulic structures,
- Reducing infant mortality through access to drinking water,
- Access to schooling through the construction of schools,
- Access to basic healthcare through the construction of health centers and huts,
- Emergency food aid and support.
Thanks to this association, over 360 water wells have been built. A charity raffle and an auction were organised to continue supporting this organisation.
Given that only 51% of the African population has access to clean drinking water, it was only natural that we agreed this year to cook for this cause: the cause of water, the cause of life.
We thank Madame Aichatoui Kané, Ambassador of Niger, our guest of honour, Christel Pernet, president of the association Les Puits du Désert and her local partner the NGO Tidène, presided over by the Tuareg Mohamed Ixa.
