Built in 1828 in the Savoyard hills, Le Mazot is an authentic period chalet, dismantled piece by piece and then patiently reassembled at our establishment, facing Lake Annecy. Its weathered wood, which has remained intact, tells the story of people and seasons. As soon as you step through the door, you feel the nobility of the material, the gentleness of time and the warmth of a place shaped by tradition.
This meticulous restoration and reassembly work was carried out thanks to the expertise of Jean-Marc Desvignes – BROC ALPES, a passionate antique dealer who brought each element of the Mazot back to life with a deep respect for its authenticity.

Nestled since 2024 in the garden of the Maison Bleue, this authentic Savoyard mazot dating from 1828 is coming back to life this winter. Completely redesigned while retaining its original charm, LE MAZOT is becoming a rare and intimate place where time seems to stand still.

Aujourd’hui privatisable pour 2 à 6 convives, Le Mazot offre une expérience singulière : intime, vraie, profondément chaleureuse — un retour à l’essentiel, version gourmet.

Here, every detail reflects the spirit of the mountains, the authenticity of the materials, and the cosiness of a winter retreat in the heart of Veyrier-du-Lac.

In this warm setting, we invite you to share a convivial moment around the essentials of our region: Savoyard fondue, half-wheel raclette, selected charcuterie and seasonal creations. Classics revisited with the expertise of Yoann Conte's teams, for a generous, comforting and deeply authentic experience.

The Mazot is not a space you pass through: it is a place to enjoy.
To preserve the atmosphere of the chalet, service is deliberately discreet, almost invisible. There is a dedicated telephone in the Mazot: you can use it to call our team whenever you wish.
A wish, an adjustment to the pace, an extra drink, a dessert...
You never have to move: everything is brought to you, delicately, at your request.

The elegance of the terroir

The culinary experience offered in our Mazot pays homage to the great classics of the mountains, revisited in the spirit of La Maison Bleue, with carefully selected farm and local products.

Each menu begins with a gourmet appetiser featuring homemade potato fritters: generous, crispy and deeply comforting, they offer a tasty introduction that sets the tone for the culinary journey ahead.

At the heart of this celebration, Savoyard fondue, prepared in the purest tradition, reveals a creamy blend of slowly melted alpine cheeses, accompanied by rustic breads, melt-in-the-mouth potatoes and local, artisan charcuterie.

Added to this is the half-wheel raclette, generously poured over the heated cheese, offering a convivial and spectacular moment where each plate is composed at the pace of the service.

These two essential dishes, enhanced by the restaurant's expertise, embody a warm, authentic and elegant cuisine, faithful to the Savoyard spirit while asserting a contemporary identity.
